The Sun StorEdge™3120 SCSI array delivers superior value to entry-level storage markets, providing users with a low-profile, ultra-condensed, modular storage array designed to meet the diverse needs of fast-growing environments. The 1U form factor fits in the smallest spaces, and the array’s 4-disk-drive capacity delivers more than a terabyte per array. This cost-effective array is ideal for expanding the disk capacity of small servers, and can also be used as a boot solution for larger, multi-domain servers. The dual bus design enables you to boot one mirrored domain per U (rack unit).
High Density and High Performance The high density, 4-drive 1U array allows you to grow capacity to 128 drives in single 32U 72” rack cabinet (32 arrays x 4 drives). The Sun StorEdge 3120 SCSI Array provides up to 320 Mbyte/sec data transfer rate per SCSI channel so you can grow capacity and I/O performance in single drive increments, and grow the storage throughput performance (bandwidth) by configuring the array for dual-channel operation. These features are ideal for bandwidth intensive Internet applications such as web hosting, video streaming, and mail/messaging.
Reliability, Availability & Serviceability The Sun StorEdge 3120 SCSI Array is designed for high reliability, ruggedness, and easy serviceability. The array is NEBS Level 3 certified and MIL-STD-810F compliant to withstand operation in harsh environments. A single management GUI provides intuitive configuration and management across the entire Sun StorEdge 3000 family.
